Business Details
Business details affect how your business appears in the system and on receipts. In SmartBill POS, the business record also controls the operating behavior of the whole system.
Details to review
Check that the following are current:
- business name
- address
- contact number
- selected
system_mode - any other official details your receipts or reports rely on
Why the mode setting matters
The selected business mode controls what the system shows or hides across important pages, including:
- Product Create and Product Edit
- Billing Page
- Sale Create and Sale Edit
- Purchase Create and Purchase Edit
- Stock List and Stock Adjustment
- reports and dashboard alerts
Capabilities such as weighted products, expiry tracking, prescription control, kitchen workflow, table management, raw materials, and production depend on this setting.
When to update them
Review business details when:
- you first launch SmartBill POS
- you are onboarding a new business
- the branch contact details change
- printed receipts show outdated information
- the business workflow needs to be confirmed before setup
After making changes
Run a test print and confirm the correct information appears where expected.
If the business mode was changed, review products, billing, stock, and purchase behavior before live operations continue.
