Barcode Scanner Setup

A barcode scanner can speed up billing and reduce manual product search at the counter.

Before testing

Make sure:

• the scanner is connected correctly
• the scanner is powered if required
• products already have the correct barcode values saved

Basic test

1. open the POS screen
2. place the cursor in the product search area if needed
3. scan a product barcode
4. confirm the correct product appears

If the wrong product appears

Check the barcode saved in the product record. If nothing appears, check the scanner connection and test another item.
