Introduction
SmartBill POS is a multi-business SaaS POS system. Instead of forcing every business into one billing style, SmartBill changes its workflow based on the business system_mode.
The main supported modes are:
retailgrocerypharmacyrestaurantmanufacturing
This documentation is written for business owners, managers, cashiers, accountants, inventory teams, waiters, kitchen teams, pharmacy staff, manufacturing teams, and office users. The goal is simple: help each business run the right workflow with fewer mistakes.
Note: This is a sample documentation image. You can replace it with a real SmartBill POS screenshot later without changing the page structure.
What makes SmartBill different
The business record is the root of system behavior. Once a mode is selected, SmartBill adjusts:
- product fields
- billing behavior
- sales validation
- stock handling
- purchase flow
- dashboard alerts
- page sections that should stay hidden
Important screens that respond to the mode include Product Create, Product Edit, Billing Page, Sale Create, Sale Edit, Purchase Create, Purchase Edit, Stock List, Stock Adjustment, and reports.
What you can do with these guides
- Set up the business in the correct mode before day-to-day operations begin.
- Add products using the right fields for retail, grocery, pharmacy, or restaurant work.
- Run billing and sales correctly for barcode sales, weighted sales, expiry-safe sales, or restaurant order capture.
- Manage stock with the right logic for quantity-only, weighted, batch-based, or ingredient-based inventory.
- Configure staff and operational records such as roles, branches, tables, and order ownership.
- Manage back-office operations such as purchases, expenses, accounts, raw materials, recipes, production, and assets.
- Review reports, alerts, and troubleshooting steps that support daily operations.
